Bathing fun at any time of year
In the hot summer months, there’s nothing better than a cooling dip.
Dessau-Rosslau has numerous natural bathing lakes and open-air pools all offering young and old a chance to cool off and have fun.
But bathing doesn’t have to stop in the colder months of the year.
The Art Nouveau-style Gesundheitsbad – literally “health pool” – and the sports pool open as soon as the outdoor temperatures fall.
Combine your next stay with a visit to the town’s bathing facilities – and not only in the summer!
Gesundheitsbad Dessau – the health pool

Riving-bathing at the Rehsumpf
The river bathing site at the Rehsumpf in Dessau-Rosslau’s Wasserstadt area is one of the oldest surviving facilities of its kind in Germany. It was founded in 1907 and in the 1920s was supported by Hugo Junkers, with projects such as the construction of a clubhouse. In the GDR period, it became a place for sporting and social get-togethers.
The Rehsumpf e. V. club began renovating the facilities in 2016 and they are due to open to the public again in 2021.
