Tourist Information Dessau receives top rating
The Dessau Tourist Information Office scored above average in the German
Tourism Association. The anonymous, unannounced and independent test was carried out in October.
The results have now been announced by the Saxony-Anhalt Tourism Association. As a result, the Dessau Tourist Information Office outperformed the state with 108
out of a maximum possible 120 points, the Dessau Tourist Information Office exceeded the state average by 42% and the national average by 40%. This means that the Dessau Tourist Information Office can present the white i on a red background for a further three years.
The German Tourism Association has been certifying the showcases of tourism-related cities and destinations for 50 years. In
Germany, 730 tourist information centers are currently certified (as of December 2023). Only tourist information centers that offer very good quality advice, extensive tourist information and additional services for guests can receive the
additional services for guests can receive the i-Marke award. The DTV has set the service standards for the i-Marke
has defined nationwide. Not all tourist information offices meet these standards.

The presentation of the certificate to Stadtmarketinggesellschaft Dessau-Roßlau
mbH, which operates the Dessau Tourist Information Office, was presented with the certificate by Martin Schulze, Managing Director of the Saxony-Anhalt Tourism Association. Also present were Anika Kinnemann, Deputy Managing Director of the World Heritage Region Anhalt-Dessau-Wittenberg, Franziska Staudte, Head of Tourist Information
Dessau, and the entire team from the Dessau Tourist Information Office.
