Successful season for local transport friends
The season of the Nahverkehrsfreunde Dessau e.V. is coming to an end on October 26 with the trips at 1 pm and 3 pm. We can look back on a successful year. The iconic yellow double-decker bus has chauffeured numerous visitors and locals through the streets of the city to the sights.
The season was not only characterized by a high number of passengers, but also by a varied program that delights both culture and home lovers.
The double-decker bus, a popular landmark on Saturdays from May to October, offers a unique perspective on the city’s complex history and impressive sights during the city tour.
Of course, the routes pass the famous Bauhaus buildings, such as the Masters’ Houses or the Bauhaus building with its world-famous lettering.
But Dessau can do more than just Bauhaus. The opportunity to explore the area “topless” in a convertible double-decker in glorious weather delighted the passengers and offered numerous photo opportunities. The tour is accompanied by experienced tour guides.
With expert knowledge and entertaining anecdotes, the tour takes around 90 minutes through the green and exciting Dessau. The response to the tourist offer has been consistently positive. Passengers praise the informative guide and the dedicated drivers. The work of the association deserves special mention.
The vehicles are lovingly maintained, the trips are planned in advance and numerous special trips with historic buses and streetcars are offered throughout the year.
