Summer is drawing to a close and anticipation is building in Dessau: on September 7, 2024, the time has finally come again! The 2024/2025 handball season will open in the Anhalt Arena, and Dessau-Roßlauer HV 06 (DRHV 06) is ready to thrill the fans once again. DRHV 06 has undergone an impressive development over the past few seasons. Since returning to the 2nd Handball Bundesliga in 2020, the team has not only established itself in the league, but has also provided surprises time and again. Under the leadership of coach Uwe Jungandreas, the team has continuously improved and proven that it can hold its own in the demanding 2nd Bundesliga.

The 2022/2023 season marked another milestone in the club’s history: DRHV 06 finished the season in a respectable 3rd place, proving that it is not just a contender, but a force to be reckoned with in German handball. Especially in the Anhalt Arena at home, the team showed that it can be a fortress for its opponents – the atmosphere and support of the fans drove the players to peak performances.
