The Dessau-Roßlau city marketing company organized a total of 542 guided tours in Dessau and Roßlau in 2023. In addition to the classic
city tours, there are numerous interesting themed and costume tours. The premiere of a new guided tour offer will take place
will take place next Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 2 pm. On this day, all interested parties are invited to the first guided tour “Ostmodernes Dessau”.
The new offer is a guided tour through the city center on the architectural heritage of the GDR. You will learn how the city was rebuilt after the large-scale destruction of the 2nd World War in the area of conflict between
the tensions between practical constraints, historical heritage, progressive ideas and ideological guidelines on the road to socialism. As the highlight of the tour, the group goes up to one of the Y-houses in the city park to enjoy the view over the city from above.
