Dessau-Roßlau Christmas carol singing
Dessau-Roßlau Christmas Singing with Annemarie Eilfeldt at Roßlau Castle and in front of the Anhaltisches Theater.
For the first time, the Anhaltisches Theater and Stadtwerke Dessau invite you to the big Dessau-Roßlau Christmas Singing. A special highlight will be the well-known pop singer Annemarie Eilfeld, who has her roots in Dessau-Roßlau. Accompanied by a five-piece jazz band, she will sing along with the audience and host the evening.
The big Dessau-Roßlau Christmas carol sing will take place twice: On 1.12.24 at 6 pm there will be singing at Roßlau Castle and on 14.12.24 at 7 pm on the theater forecourt in front of the Anhaltisches Theater.
Pop star Annemarie Eilfeld will lead through the colorful program and sing along with the audience, accompanied by a Christmas jazz band from Berlin.
In addition to Christmas classics such as “Alle Jahr wieder” and “O Tannenbaum”, she will also perform two of her own Christmas songs. The lyrics of the Christmas songs will be made available by the theater via a QR code on the website and also in paper form.
Annemarie Eilfeld is looking forward to a real “home game” and an unforgettable experience:
“I’m looking forward to a very special evening, it’s something completely different for me not to be the one singing songs for the audience, but to sing songs together with the audience this time. It will certainly be a wonderful experience for all of us.
Stadtwerke Dessau, too, can hardly wait to celebrate the season of contemplation. “We are delighted to be supporting the Dessau-Roßlau Christmas carol singers as the main sponsor this year,” says Dino Höll, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Dessau. “It is important to us to promote this festive tradition in our city and to create a special community experience for the people here,” says Höll.
Guests can also look forward to special guests. On December 1, 2024, the Christmas caroling will be further enriched by two choir pieces from the “Musikalische Profiklasse” of the Philanthropinum under the direction of Steffen Schwalba and on December 14, 2024 by the “Posaunenchor Dessau” under the direction of Andreas Köhn.
Former church president Joachim Liebig will read the “Christmas story” on both evenings.
Lord Mayor Dr. Robert Reck has assumed the patronage.
Admission to both events is free. We look forward to celebrating the festive season with you and bringing Dessau and Roßlau to life in a festive atmosphere.
The castle association and KULTUR GENUSS Catering GmbH are responsible for the catering at the events.
