100 years of handball in Dessau
The first home game of the season against VfL Eintracht Hagen will be a very special one for Dessau-Roßlauer HV. Together with the
Stadtmarketinggesellschaft Dessau-Roßlau mbH, who will present the match day as “Partner of the Day”, we will celebrate with you before and after the match not only our season opener in the 2nd Handball-Bundesliga, but also “100 years of handball in Dessau”.
In the spring of 1923, the very first handball match in Dessau took place not far from the
Kienfichten sports field, the very first handball match took place in Dessau and is thus considered the birth of handball in the Bauhaus city. “Dessau-Roßlau stands for many things: Bauhaus, Garden Kingdom, Tante Ju, great landscape, exciting history. And our city also stands for sports.
We have fantastic clubs and events in Dessau-Roßlau. One, if not the beacon, is the DRHV 06. After a great season with all sporting expectations exceeded, a full hall and phenomenal away games, not only a new season is on the horizon, in which everyone is eager to see
the momentum of the previous season, but also an anniversary: 100 years of handball in Dessau-Roßlau!
We want to celebrate this properly together with the DRHV 06 and the fans at the first home game and thus also further consolidate the very good cooperation between the club and the city marketing company.
